Acceptable Use Policy

1. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy governs your use of the Archive platform and everything it delivers. It is incorporated into the Archive Terms of Service, and a violation of this policy is a material breach of those Terms. Capitalized terms have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
2. Lawful Use
Use the Service only for lawful business purposes. Do not use it to violate any law or regulation, to infringe anyone's intellectual-property or privacy rights, or to further any fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful scheme.
3. No Extraction of the Platform or Its Data
Do not scrape, crawl, harvest, spider, or bulk-export the Service, its interfaces, its underlying records, or its compiled databases. Do not access the Service by automated means except through interfaces Archive provides for that purpose. Do not attempt to reconstruct, mirror, or accumulate Archive's compiled databases, whether by systematic ordering of reports or by any other means. Do not circumvent rate limits, access controls, or any technical measure that protects the Service.
4. No Reverse Engineering
Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service, or attempt to derive its source code, models, prompts, extraction logic, or methods, except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
5. Seats and Credentials
A Seat is for one named individual. Do not share your credentials, do not allow anyone else to use your Seat, and do not create accounts to evade Seat limits, suspensions, or fees.
6. Deliverables — What You May Not Do With Them
Reports and other Deliverables are licensed for your organization's internal business use, with the sharing rights described in Section 6 of the Terms of Service (your attorneys, auditors, lenders, and bona fide deal counterparties, in the ordinary course). Beyond that: do not republish or publicly distribute a Deliverable; do not resell, license, or otherwise supply one to a third party for consideration; and do not use Deliverables to provide title-research or comparable services to others.
7. No Competing Products, Datasets, or AI Training
Do not use the Service, or anything it delivers, to develop, train, or improve a competing product, dataset, index, model, or service. This includes using Deliverables or platform output as training data, fine-tuning data, evaluation data, or retrieval corpora for any artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system.
8. Reliance Contrary to the Disclaimers
Reports are research products, not title opinions, title commitments, title insurance, certified abstracts, or legal advice. Do not present a Report to a third party as any of those things, and do not use a Report as a substitute for the professional advice the Terms of Service tell you to obtain. Section 11 of the Terms of Service says this in full; this policy makes it an acceptable-use obligation as well.
9. Personal Information in Public Records
Archive's reports necessarily contain information about individuals drawn from public county records. Do not use that information to harass, defraud, stalk, or harm anyone. Do not attempt to re-identify, enrich, or combine it with other data in order to build profiles of individuals. Do not use it for marketing to individuals, for credit, insurance, employment, or housing decisions, or for any purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act — Archive is not a consumer reporting agency and its reports are not consumer reports.
10. Security
Do not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our written authorization; do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data; do not interfere with or disrupt the Service; and do not upload malicious code. Security researchers acting in good faith should follow the process at archiveledger.com/security, which describes how to report a vulnerability and the protections we offer for good-faith research.
11. Communications
Do not use any feature of the Service to send spam, unlawful communications, or content that is defamatory, harassing, or obscene.
12. Enforcement
Archive may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access — with or without notice, depending on the severity and the risk to the Service, other customers, or third parties. We may also remove content, reverse transactions, and report unlawful conduct to the authorities. Report abuse or ask a question: support@archiveledger.com.
